RESOLUTION NO. 2041
A ~SOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN. AUTHORIZING COMMUNICOM TO
PERf~tANENTLY INSTALL A 3.7 METER EARI~t STATION
ON THE ROOFTOP OF THE BOYS CLUB AT 580 W. SIXTH
The Planning Age,cy of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as
follows:
I. The Planning Agency finds and determines as follows:
A. l'nat a proper application,(Use Permit No. 82-16), has
been filed by Robert Grimes on behalf of Communicom
to authorize the permanent installation of a 3.7 meter
earth station on the rooftop at 580 W. Sixth Street.
B. That a public hearing was duly called, noticed and
held on said application.
C. That establishment, maintenance, and operation of the
use applied for will not, under the circumstances'of
this case, be detrimental to the health, safety, morals
comfort, or general welfare of the persons residing
or working in the neighborhood of such proposed use,
evidenced by the following findings:
1. The proposed use is in conformance with the
Tusttn Area General Plan.
2. The proposed use is in conformance with the
Tustin Zoning Code, as amended.
O. That the establishment, maintenance, and operation
of the use applied for will not be injurious or detri-
mental to the property and improvements in the neighbor-
hood of the subject property, nor to the general welfare
of the City of Tusttn, and should be granted.
E. Proposed development shall be in accordance with the
development policies adopted by the City Council, Uni-
form Building Codes as administered by the Building
Official, Fire Code as administered by the Orange County
Fire Marshal; and street improvement requirements as
administered by the City Engineer.
F. That the subject project is categorically exempt from
the requirements of the California Environmental Quality
Act.
G. Final development plans shall require the review
and approval of the Community Development Department.

PennJt No. 82-[6 to authorize Communicom to permanently
install a 3.7 meter earth station on the rooftop of the Boys
Club at 580 W. Sixth Street subject 'co the following
conditions:

The final site plan shall be standardized and reflect
all appropriate City standard drawing numbers. The
developer shall construct all missing or damaged street
in~provements to said development per the City of Tustin
"Minimum Design Standards of Public Works" and "Street
I~rovement Standards." This work shall consist of, but
is not limited to: curb and gutters, sidewalks, drive
apron and street pavement.
This approval does not authorize any temporary
establishment of equipment, facilities operations in
lieu of a permanent facility .
All electrical or community antenna television or
similar service wires or cables shall, within the
exterior boundary of the subject property, be installed
underground.
D. Specific aspects of security shall require the review
and approval of the Community Development Department.
Visual screening of the earth station shall be required
with the extent of the screening determined by the final
established location of the earth' station. Minimum
screening shall include the base of the dish antenna as
viewed by the neighboring area.
Unless written justification is submitted by the
applicant, the location of the earth station shall be
near the south side of the Boy~ Club structure, adjacent
to the Santa Aha Freeway.
The addition of any subsequent earth stations shall
require the review and approval of the Community
Development Department. The plans shall be reviewed by
the City of Tustin Planning Agency.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin Planning
Agency, held on the 6th day of July , 1982.
