CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN
HELD ON APRIL 26, 1954.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Jerome C. Kidd, W. L. Tadlock, Arthur
O. Park, Frank E. Bacon, Jr., John V.
Sauers.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None.
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
Also present, Elmer Johansen, and
Woodhill, Civil Defense Director.
Minutes of the Adjourned Regular Meeting of April 20,
1954 were read and approved.
Director Woodhill reported on Civil Defense matters.
He stated that it appears that a great degree of local
control may be exercised in the future with reference
to the civil defense program. The Council accepted
the report with thanks.
Correspondence: Letter received from the Senate in-
terim Committee on subdivision development and plan-
ning. The letter was referred to the City Engineer
to fill out and complete a questionnaire which was
enclosed therein.
Park moved, Tadlock seconded, to authorize payment
of expenses of any city official who couldI attend
the meeting described in above said letter. Motion
carried.
Letter was received from the State Comptroller giv-
ing the estimated amount of motor vehicle license fee
funds available to the City of Tustin for the fiscal
year 1954-55. The amount was estimated to be at
$6,300.00.
Letter was received from William Gallienne, Executive
Secretary of Associated Chamber of Commerce of Orange
County. The letter contained as an enclosure a resolu-
tion favoring greater local control for beach cities
with reference to the production of oil. The matter
was ordered filed.
Tadlock moved, Sauers seconded, that the bills be paid.
Motion was carried.

Tadlock moved to adjourn, Park seconded, the motion
