HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 5 RESTRICTED PKG 10-20-82 10-20-82 /~ OATE: OCTOBER 8, 1982 Inter-eom TO: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR RESTRICTED PARKING AT 1872, 1882, 1902, 1912, AND 1932 MITCHELL AVENUE RECOMMENDATION: That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of October 20, 1982, authorize the installation of signing to restrict on-street parking during street sweeping hours, 6:00 AM to Noon on Mondays, on the southerly side of Mitchell Ave. between Heatherfield Dr. and the easterly lot line of 1932 Mitchell Ave. It is also recomnended that warnings be issued in lieu of citations for the first 30 days after the sign installation. BACKGROUND: A request for restricted parking during street sweeping operations along the southerly side of Mitchell Ave. and adjacent to the residences at 1872, 1882, 1902, 1912, and 1932 Mitchell Ave. has been received from one of the residents. A questionnaire was sent to th% five affected residents soliciting their opinions on the parking prohibition. Four responses were returned and all were in favor of the parking prohibition along that portion of Mitchell Avenue. The proposed parking prohibition would extend along the southerly side of Mitchell Avenue between Heatherfield Drive and the easterly lot line of 1932 Mitchell Avenue. The suggested signing for this street would read as follows: NO PARKING 6:00 AM TO NOON MONOAY STREET SWEEPING BOB LEDENDECKER DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/ CITY ENGINEER db cc: City Clerk Sgt.
