(6) months (November 23, 1982 to May 26, 1983)
P.E~X)~4E-NDED ACTION
Pleasure of the Agency.
BACKGROUND
On May 17, 1982, the Agency approved Temporary Use Permit 59016 authorizing
the display of a "Bingo Tuesday" banner for one day per week for six (6)
months for the Congregation B'Nai Israel. At this time the congregation is
requesting a subsequent approval.
DISCUSSION
In the staff report for the initial request, it was recommended that the
permit be granted. However, concern was expressed that the temporary use
permit would become permanent.
The original intent of the banner permit process was to advertise one-time,
special events and not for an on-going enterprise.
Should the Agency authorize the banner as requested, staff recommends it be
the last permit of this type issued for the subject location.
