HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
R. KENNETH FLEAGLE ~i~'--
NEWPORT-WASS STREET ANNEXATION NO. 132
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adoption of Resolution No. 82-90, scheduling a protest hearing for 3:00
p.m. January 17, 1983 for the proposed Newport-Wass Street Annexation No.
132.
BACKGROUND:
The City Council made application to the Local Agency Formation Commission
on behalf of property owners and voters residing in the 3.27 acre area
bounded by Wass Street and Elizabeth Way.
The Local Agency Formation Commission conducted a public hearing on
December 8, 1982 and no protests were presented. Since this is an
inhabited annexation, a protest hearing is required. I have been informed
by the property owners and voters within the area that there will be no
protests against the annexation, but the protest hearing before the City
Council is a requirement of law.
