HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 12 ACCESS RIGHTS 11-07-83 AGENDA  ' IAT£:OCTOBER 27, 1983 FROPl: SUBJECT: ~,~.~ CONSENT CALENDAR NO. 12 11-7-83 Inter-Corn WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER RELINQUISHMENT OF ACCESS RIGHTS TO MYFORD ROAD - PARCEL MAP NO. 78-111 RECOMMENDATION: That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of November 7, 1983, authorize the Mayor to execute the Quitclaim Deed to the owner of Parcel No. 4 of Parcel Map No. 78-111 for the relinquishment of access rights to Myford Road. BACKGROUND During'the initial subdivision of the Irvine Industrial complex, vehicular access rights to Myford Road across the'frontage of Parcel No. 4 was dedicated to the City of Tustin. The developers of Parcel 4, located at 14831Myford Road, have requested driveway access to Myford Road, in addition to Dow Avenue. Parcel 4 is located on the northwesterly corner of. Myford Road and Dow Avenue. DISCUSSION: This request for access rights to Myford Road is for the construction of a 27 foot wide driveway located near the northerly property line of parcel 4. The centerline of this driveway is located 36 feet southerly of the northerly property line of this parcel. There will be no additional breaks allowed in the future median of Myford Road. The execution of the attached Quitclaim Deed will relinquish the access rights to Myford Road to accommodate the 27 foot wide driveway, as requested. Dear Mr. Ledendecker: On behalf of the developer, Boureston Development Co., I hereby request that vehicular access rights be granted to Myford Road, for the subject property, at a 27 foot wide driveway, the center- line of which is proposed to be located 36 feet south of the north property line. I have enclosed a sketch which depicts the proposed driveway and its location in relation to the property's north property line and also to the centerline of Dow Avenue.
