Request for Restricted Parking Adjacent to Tustin Green Condominiums
Recommendation:
That the Tus~in City Council, at their meeting of October 5, 1983, authorize the
installation of signing to restrict on-street parking during street sweeping hours,
6:00 A.M. to Noon on Thursdays, at 14621-14737 Red Hill Avenue and 1361-63 Sycamore
Avenue adjacent to the Tustin Green Condominiums. It is further recommended that
warnings be issued in lieu of citations for the first 30 days after sign installation.
Background:
A request for restricted parking during street sweeping operations adjacent to
14621-14737 Red Hill Avenue and 1361-63 Sycamore Avenue has been received from the
Tustin Green Homeowners Association. (Copy attached)
Discussion:
The proposed parking prohibition would extend across the frontages of both Red Hill and
Sycamore Avenues and approximate distance of 600 ft. and 630 ft. respectively. The
suggested signing for these streets would read as follows:
NO PARKING
6:00 AM TO NOON
THURSDAY
STREET SWEEPING
The City council has approved several other requests similar to this request and their
i~lementation enables the street sweeper to do a more complete job of sweeping in a
lesser amount of time and with fewer hazards of maneuvering around parked cars.

The Boazd of Directors of Tustin Green, Inc., represent 96 Town-
houses. Our complex is located on Red Hill Avenue and Sycamore.
We have made a decision to request that you take whatever steps are
necessary to have the street sweeping done on a regular basis. Per
our telephone conversation, please post 'No Parkt~g~' signs on Red
Hill Avenue and Sycamore in o~der that the cleaning be accomplished.
We have noticed the street trees on Red Hill have become massive and
overgrown and are in contact with the overhead wires. Could these
trees be tz~mmed to prevent problems that may occur.
Please advise us when thais will be done and what days the no parking
signs will be posted.
Sincerely,
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
