The attached draft ordinance, if enacted, would allow organizations with bingo permits to transfer the operations to a new site without the presently required one-year occupancy. Senior Planner Attachment: Draft Ordinance No. 895 1 2 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 ORDINANCE NO. 895 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE REGARDING BINGO PERMITS FOR LICENSEES WHICH MOVE TO A NEW LOCATION. 5 The City Council of the City of 6ordain as follows: 7 Tustin, California, does ~f Section 3242 b is hereby amended to read as follows: b. Application for License Eligible organizations desiring to obtain a license to conduct bingo games in the City of Tustin shall file an application in writing there- for in the office of the City Clerk on forms provided by the City Clerk. The issuing authority shall be the License and Permit Board. Applica- tion for a license shall, not be filed unless the applicant is a qualified organization which has owned or leased the property within the City of Tustin upon which any bingo game is to be conduct- ed for at least twelve (12) months immediately preceeding the filing of such application, which property has been used by the applicant during said period for the performance of the purposes for which it is organized, provided, however, that any organization which has held a valid bingo license for premises within the City of Tustin for at least one (1) year and relocates to new prem- ises within the City of Tustin, shall not be dis- qualified from receiving a bingo license at its new premises even though it has not occupied the new premises for one (1) year, provided that it is otherwise qualified to receive a bingo license at such new premises.
