TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY
EVENING, SEPTEMBER 29, 1952, AT 7:30
P. M., AT THE CITY HALL
Said meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30
P. M., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of
Tustin.
Written notice of this Special Meeting was served on
Mayor Humeston and Councilmembers, Miller, Gray,
Teter and Bacon by Police Chief Johansen, of Tustin,
whose affidavit of services of the Notices is on file
in the office of the City Clerk.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Vincent L. Humeston, Frank E. Bacon, Jr.,
J. Roy Teter, William H., Gray and Wm. I.
Miller.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, jr., was present.
Deputy City Clerk Arthur O. Park was present and pre-
sented duly certified Petitions for the Recall of
Councilmen J. Roy Teter and William H. Gray, also for
the Recall of City Clerk S. C. Penington.
RECALL PETITION On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman
FILED Bacon and duly carried, the three petitions were re-
ceived and filed.
LEGAL OPINION A Legal Opinion regarding the above Petitions was pre-
PRESENTED sented by City Attorney Nisson and read by Mayor Humes-
ton to the Council. The Opinion of the City Attorney
in regard to the legality of the three petitions was
ordered filed on motion of Councilman Gray, seconded
by Councdlman Miller and duly carried.
Councilman Miller moved, seconded by Councilman Gray
and duly carried, that the Council be guided by the
Legal Opinion of the City Attorney.
RESOLUTION City Attorney Nisson presented Resolution No. 318 en-
NO. 318 titled "A Resolution of the City Council of the City
PRESENTED of Tustin Calling a Special Municipal Election for
Novembler 4, 1952, to determine Whether or Not the
Voters Will Racall Councilman J. Roy Teter, Desig-
nating Voting Precincts, and Election Officers for
said Election." The above Resolution was read to the
Council in its entirety by Mayor Humeston.
RESOLUTION On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Council-
NO. 318 man Bacon and carried, Resolution No. 318 was adopted.
ADOPTED
City Engineer McBride was present and the matter of
a curb line of a portion of Third Street was discussed.
On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman
Bacon and carried, it was agreed that the North curb
line of Third Street, between "A" and Pacific Streets
be 16 feet from the center line.
Councilman Miller moved to adjourn. Councilman Gray
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
