HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA USE PERMIT 83-16-9-19-83DATE: TO: FROH: SUBJECT: September 19, 1983 RE ELOPMENT AGENCY No. 5 9-19-83 Inter-Corn Honorable Chairman & Redevelopment Agency Members Community Development Department Tustin Condominiums, Use Permit No. 83-16 At their August 22, 1983 meeting, the Tustin Planning Commission reviewed and approved an application (Use Permit 83-16) for the development of a 161-unit residential condominium project. The site is located within the South/Central Redevelopment Project at the southern terminus of Newport Avenue. Section 317.1, of the Redevelopment Plan requires the review and approval of all projects within the area. The members of the Agency should refer to City Council Public Hearing No. 4 packet for an analysis of the project and the Planning Commission findings and conditions. Items II 2, 4 7, 14, 17 and 22 of the approving resolution aaddress the major conditions of the site and architecture. The Redevelopment Plan does not require a public hearing for site review and as such does not require a discretionary action by the Agency. The Redevelopment Agency can make suggestions it feels prudent and justifiable in order that the proposal meet the intent of the Redevelopment Plan. This project will also increase the quantity and quality of the housing stock in the area which is an objective of the Redevelopment Plan.
