COUNCIL OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, JULY 7,
1952, AT 7:50 P.M., AT THE CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: William I. Miller, William H. Gray and J.
Roy Teter.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: Vincent L. Humeston andFrankE. Bacon, Jr.
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson Jr., was absent but was
represented by hfs Secretary, Bette Triz-
insky.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Mil-
ler at Y:50 P. M~
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Dave B. Carmichael, of the Orange County Insurance
Agency, was present and solicited the renewal of the
City,s insurance coverage, including equipment and lia-
bility coverage. Councilman Teter moved to receive Mr.
Carmichaet's proposal and to refer the same to City
Attorney Nisson. Seconded by Councilman Gray the motion
duly carried.
Mayor Pro Tem Miller presented correspondence including
a letter from the Orange County District Council of
Carpenters, 150 W. Main Street, Tustin, who in reply
to a notice from the City Clerk of Business License
due as set forth in Ordinance No. 87, stated that they
are a fraternal organization and therefore are not sub-
ject to State and City taxes. On motionof Councilman
Teter, seconded by Councilman Gray and duly carried,
the matter was referred to City Attorney Nisson.
NEW RADIO On motion of Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman
AUTHORIZED Teter and duly carrtpd, Police Commissioner Bacon was
FOR POLICE authorized to purchase One new Radio for installation
CAR NO. 651 in Police Car 651.
Councilman Teter brought out thjfact that the side-
walk at Helen's Care on First Street has not been re-
paired as agreed upon. Councilman Teter made a Minute
Order that City Attorney Nisson investigate the matter.
BILLS The following bills were presented, approvedland or-
dered paid on motion of Councilman Gray, seconded by
Councilman Teter and carried.

City Engineer McBride arrived at 9:30 P. M. and pre-
sented three copies of "Memorandum of Agreement for
Expenditure of Gas Tax Allocation for Major City
Streets," which included therein Resolution No. 310
approving the same.
Councilman Gray moved, seconded by Councilman Teter
and it was duly carried that Resolution No. 310 be
read by title only.
RESOLUTION On motion of Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman
NO. 310 Teter and duly carried, Resolution No. 310 was adopted.
ADOPTED
City Engineer McBride presented plans relative to
County Flood Control which were examined and dis-
cussed by the Council members.
Mrs. Trizinsky presented Resolution No. 311 entitled
"A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Tus-
tin Establishing Curb Lines on First Street Between
"D" Street and Prospect Avenue ("E" Street)."
Councilman Gray moved, seconded by Councilman Teter
and carried, that Resolution No. 311 be read by title
only.
RESOLUTION On motion of Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman
NO. 311 Teter and duly carried, Resolution No. 311 was adopted.
ADOPTED
Resolution No. 312 entitled "A Resolution of the City
Council of the City of Tustin Requesting the County
of Orange to Set and Establish Certain Curb Lines on
First Street East of Prospect Avenue and West of New-
port Avenue" was presented and read by title only on
motion of Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman
Teter and duly carried.
RESOLUTION Resolution No. 312 was adopted on motion of Council-
NO. 312 man Teter, seconded by Councilmsn Gray and duly car-
ADOPTED ried.
Councilman Gray moved that the oiling of Second Street
between Pasadena Street and Tustin Avenue be done on
a share basis with the County of Orange in conjunction
with the oiling project of Pasadena Street. Councilman
Teter seconded the motion which was duly carried.
Councilman Teter moved to adjourn. Councilman Gray
seconded She motion. Motion carried.
