RECOMMENDATION:
That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of August 1, 1983, adopt the
attached resolution approving Lot Line Adjustment No. 83-1.
BACKGROUND:
In. September, 1981, the City sold a strip of land 41.75 feet wide to Foster Art
Service, Inc. This strip of land was located along the easterly side of the Boys
Club facility on Sixth St.
In order to legally attach this strip of land to that.parcel previously owned by
Foster Art Service, a Lot Line Adjustment between the two affected parcels is
required.
DISCUSSION:
~his lot line adjustment process is provided for in Section 66412(d) for the
Subdivision Map Act wherein the act makes'provisions for the local agency to
approve lot line adjustments where the land taken from one parcel is added to an
adjacent parcel and where a greater number of parcels than originally existed is
not thereby created.
The attached documents, consisting of a resolution and three sheets of an
application for lot line adjustment, will provide this adjustment once the
resolution has been adopted by City Council, the application approved by staff,
and when all documents have been recorded by the County Recorder's office. This
process and the format of these documents have been reviewed and approved by the
City Attorney's office.
This application has been reviewed by both the Community Development Department
and the Engineering Division and all proposed adjustments have been found to be in
compliance with all zoning and setback requirements of the City and the provisions
Qf the California Subdivision Map Act.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT NO. 83-1
(550-580 WEST SIXTH ST.)
WHEREAS, Section 66412 (d) of the Subdivision Map Act makes
provisions for the local agency to approve lot line adjustments where the
land taken from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel and where a greater
number of parcels than originally exi-sted is not thereby created; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin has reviewed Lot
Line Adjustment No. 83-1 and has made a finding that the real property
described in Exhibit A and shown on Exhibit B complies with the provisions of'
the California Subdivision Map Act and applicable City of Tustin ordinances
and regulations including the requirements for building sites; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin has made the
following findings:
1. That the proposal is eligible for processing as a lot line
adjustment pursuant to Section 66412 of the Subdivision Act;
2. That the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act
have been met;
3. That the proposal is consistent with the General Plan; and
4. That the resultant parcels will meet the requirements of the Zoning
Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed Lot Line Adjustment
No. 83-1 as shown on Exhibits A and B is hereby approved and that the
parcels be considered building sites upon recordation of this document.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California, held on the day of , 1983.
