COUNCIL OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
HELD ON TUESDAY EVENING, APRIL
15, 1952, AT 7:30 P.M., AT THE
CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Vincent L. Humeston, William H. Gray,
William I. Miller, J.. Roy Teter and
Frank E. Bacon, Jr.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
Mayor Humeston called the meeting to order at 7:30
P. M.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and ap-
proved.
Council agreed that no business would be brought up
at this meeting except that pertaining to the Gen-
oral Municipal 'Election held on April 8, 1952.
ABSENTEE VOTES The City Clerk presented two (2) Absentee Ballots
CANVASSED which were duly canvassed by the Council according
to law and added to the total of 233 votes cast at
the election, making a grand total of votes cast of
235.
RESOLUTION NO. City Attorney Nisson presented Resolution No. 303
303 ADOPTED entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Tustin Declaring Results of the General
Municipal Election Held on April 8, 1952" which
was adopted on motion of Councilman Miller, sec-
onded by Councilman Bacon and duly carried.
Certificates of Election were presented to the
three (3) newly elected Council members, viz:- Wm.
I. Miller, Frank Bacon, Jr., and WilIiam H. "Bill"
Gray, also to the newly elected City Clerk, Samuel
C. Penington, who were immediately sworn into office
by Mayor Vincent L. Humeston.
The loyalty oath was then administered to the above
named three (3) Council Members and City Clerk by
Mayor Humeston.
RESOLUTION Attorney Nisson introduced Resolution No. 304 en-
304 ADOPTED titled A Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Tustin Electing a Mayor of the. City of Tus-
tin and appointing a Mayor Pro Tem to act in the
absence or incapacity of the Mayor." On motion of
Councilman Gray seconded by Councilman Teter and
duly carried, Resolution No. 304 was adopted.
Councilman Miller moved to adjourn. Councilman Gray
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
