COUNCIL OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY
18, 1952, AT 9:30 P. M., AT THE
CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Vincent L. Humeston, William H. Gray,
William I. Miller, Frank E. Bacon, Jr.,
and J. Roy Tenet.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
Mayor Humeston called the meeting to order at 9:30
P. M., immediately following adjournment of a meet-
ing of the Tustin Planning Commission.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and ap-
proved after a change was made in Paragraph 6 which
was corrected to read that Councilman Miller stated
that there are no residences fronting on this por-
tion of Second Street rather than that there are no
residences on this portion of Second Street. Also
a changa was made in Paragraph 10 in which the
monthly salary of Frank Downey, Street Department
Employee, was corrected to read $240.00 instead of
$235.00 per month.
Mayor Humeston read a letter from the City of Albany,
Calif., in which the City of Tustin was requested to
colaborate with them in protesting to the Governor
and State Representatives in regard to the increas-
ing price of milk. The matter was ordered tabled on
motion of Councilman Teter, seconded by Councilman
Miller and duly carried.
City Attorney Nisson reported on the bids submitted
for trimming and removing certain trees within the
City. Councilman Miller moved that the second high-
est bidder be contacted and that his bid be accepted
if approved by the City Attorney. Councilman Bacon
seconded the motion which was carried.
MRS. JULIA City Attorney Nisson reported on his investigation

he had notified her that she had until March 17th
to discontinue business at that location and that
he should have a further report for the Council on
March 17th.
POLICE DEPT. Councilman Miller mentioned the need of a monthly

Police Commissioner Bacon. On motion of Councilman
Miller, seconded by Councilman Bacon and duly car-
ried, it was agreed to begin with a report for the
month of February.
POLICE OFFICER Police Commissioner Bacon presented the written

Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Teter
and duly carried, the resignation was accepted as
of the above date.
WILLIAM A. Police Commissioner Bacon stated that William A.

SURVEY MADE On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Council-
OF BLOCK 14 man Gray and duly carried, City Engineer McBride
was authorized to make a survey of Block 14, Tustin
City Tract, for the purpose of fixing the exact lo-
cation of the alley.
Councilman Miller submitted a written report on im-
provements as desired by the City to be made to the
Sandstrom Motel property near First and "C" Streets
as outlined in detail in the above mentioned report.
Mr. Sandstrom's answer to the City's proposal was
that definite plans had not been made for additional
improvements to the property and for this reason he
was not willing to proceed with the work.
BILLS The following bills were presented, approved and or-
dered paid on motion of Councilman Miller, seconded
by Councilman Gray and duly carried.

The meeting was adjourned on motion of Councilman
Miller, seconded by Councilman Teter and carried.
