COUNCIL OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
HELD ON MONDAY EVENING, OCTOBER
15, 1951, AT 10:15 P.M. AT THE CITY HALL
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Vincent L. Humeston, Jj. Roy Teter, Frank
E. Bacon, Jr., William I. Miller and
William H. Gray.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
Mayor Humeston called the meeting to order at 10:15
P. M., immediately after adjournment of the meeting
of the Tustin Planning Commission.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and ap-
proved.
Mayor Humeston read a letter from Mr. J. N. Morris,
of 141 North "A" Street, relative to the unsightly
and unsanitary conditions which Mr. Morris states
exist on Mr. O. V. Dart's property at 125North "A"
Street. On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by
Councilman Teter and carried, it was ordered that
the letter be referred to the proper channels for
further action.

ler moved that permission be granted, seconded by
· Councilman Gray, the motion duly carried.
Acting Police Chief Huntsman brought up the matter
of moving the 35 Mile Zone Signs further South and
East of Main Street on Highway 101 through Tustin.
Attorney Nisson was requested to write a letter
making this request to the State Highway Department.
Councilman Teter moved that the proper department
heads be instructed to take care of various items
that were to have been brought up at this meeting.
Seconded by Councilman Miller the motion carried.
Councilman Miller suggested t hat Acting Street Sup-
erintendent Huntsman look into the matter of paving
Pasadena Street in conjunction with City Engineer
McBride.
McMULLEN Councilman Bacon presented a letter of resignation
RESIGNS AS from Police Chief Thomas McMullen. On motion of
POLICE CHIEF Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman Miller and
duly carried, the resignation was accepted as of
this date.
The following bills were presented, approved, and
ordered paid on motion of Councilman Teter, seconded

Councilman Gray reported on the meeting of repre-
sentatives of various Orange County Townships with
the Board of Supervisors on October 10, which he
attended, relative to the Court Reorganization Pro-
gram. Mr. Gray read the brief as presented to the
Supervisors by Tustin Township and states that the
Supervisors have agreed to contact the State Attor-
ney General to determine the rights of the Super-
visors in the matter.
NEW FLAG FOR On motion of Councilman Teter, seconded by Council-
CITY HALL man Miller and duly carried, it was ordered that a
new flag be purchased for the City Hall.
CITY'S AGREE- Councilman Miller moved that Mayor Humeston and the
MENT WITH O. City Clerk be authorized to enter into an Agreement
V. DART with Mr. O. V. Dart as recommended by the Tustin
Planning Commission. Seconded by Councilman Bacon
the motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned on motion of Councilman
Miller, seconded by Councilman Teter and duly
carried.
