CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hoesterey at 8:01 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California, following a meeting of the City Council. Director Approximately 15 in the audience APPROVAL OF MI#UTES It was moved by Kennedy, seconded by Edgar, to approve the minutes of the April 4, 1983, meeting. Carried 4-0, Greinke absent. 4. RETAIL STORE E)~ANSIO#, 601-607 EL CANINO REAL As recommended in the staff report dated April 18, 1983, prepared by the Community Development Department, it was moved by Saltarelli, seconded by ~R' to approve the addition and site plan modifications at 601-607 E1 eal with staff recommendations as follows: The repair and visual improvement of the chain link fence along the east property line. Redwood or wood-colored metal slats are under consideration. B. The finishing of the side and rear building areas to match the build- ing elevations of the addition, Ce The center is divided into two parcels and some of the parking spaces designated for use by the florist and jeweler are located on the larger structure, which is a violation of building code provisions. As a result, the property line should be removed or the properties held as one by the recordation of a covenant to tie the parcels together. The parcels are presently owned by members of the same family and such an agreement should not be difficult to execute. De A fire detection system may be required. This provision will be dependent upon the structural characteristics of the complex. If the center is considered one building, as defined by the building and fire codes, a fire detection system will be required by law.
