On January 14, 1983, the Southern California Gas
Company was served with the cross-complaint of the City of
Tustin and R. J. Noble in the above case. In this case,
Plaintiff Woodward alleges that she fell on a sidewalk in
the 100 Block of E1 Camino Real in the City of Tustin, on
August 23, 1982, and was injured. Plaintiff has sued the
City of Tustin and the R. J. Noble Company.
As the direct and sole proximate result of the
failure of the City of Tustin and its agents to maintain
the sidewalk in a safe condition, the Southern California
Gas Company will be forced to expend monies in the defense
of this cross-complaint.
