AFPROVA~ C~ MI~=r~S It was moved by Hoesterey, seconded by Kennedy, to approve the minutes of the January 3, 1983, meeting. Carried 5-0. 4. APPROVAL (~ D~%ND$ It was moved by Hoestere¥, seconded by Edgar, to approve General D-m~nds for.the month of December, 1982, in the amount' of $238,362.56 as. recom- mended by the Director of Finance. Mr. Greinke had a question on Check No. 0434 issued to James M. Griffin to which the Executive Director responded staff would check on it and report back. Mr. Greinke indicated he would bring the matter up in closed session. Motion carried 5-0. 5. CO~ETION (~ TRAFFIC SIGNAL ]]~ROFEMENTS - EL CAMINO ~ & SIXTH AS recommended in the inter-com dated January 6, 1983, prepared by the Director of Public Works, it was moved by Greinke, seconded by Kennedy, to adopt Resolution No. RDA 83-1 and assuming no claims or stop payment notices are filed within 30 days of the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion, authorize payment of the final 10% retention amount as recommended by the City Engineer. ~SOL~TI~ NO. ~ 83-1 - A Resolution of the Tustin Community Redevelop- ment Agency of the City of Tustin ACCEPTING WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT AND AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION (Traffic Signal Improve- ments at E1 Camino Real and Sixth Street - William R. Hahn) Motion carried 5-0. E1 C---~o Real Dedication Ceremony - In remembrance of the festivities held on January 15, 1983, Mr. Hoesterey commended both "The Registem" and "The Tustin News" for the excellent job in promoting subject event, and offered kudos to staff in coordinating the event. Mrs. Kennedy requested that a letter from the Mayor, mentioning the Coun- cil, be directed to the staff coordinator and to the respective news reporters for their efforts. The Chairman noted that a letter also be sent to the business community acknowledging their participation in the project. Helen Edgar, 13622 Loretta Drive, stated that in speak- ing to The Jabberwocky owner, it was reported that there had never been so much walk-in traffic since subject store's opening. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Mi..JT~,S Page 2, 1-17-83 F~ C~o ~ T~T~e~lt ~ToJ~- The motion by Edgar that the bollards be moved to provide a minimum passage width of 40" for access to wheelchairs died for lack of a second. Agency discussion followed. The Director of Public Works stated that the contractor has been notified as to which bollards do not meet the 36" width require- ment and suggested that prior to a decision being made to move all the bollards, that staff obtain cost differentials and report back to the Agency with recommendations. 7.
