Applicant:
Location:
Robert P. Warmington Co.
The southerly terminus of Newport Avenue (formerly Williams
property).
Request:
To extend Use Permit 81-2 and Tentative Tract Map 11370 for a
period of six (6) months.
RECOMMENDED ACTION, PLANNING AGENCY
Staff recommends that the Agency grant a six (6) month extension of Use Permit
81-2.
RECOMMENDED ACTION, CIl~ COUNCIL
Contingent upon Planning Agency approval of an extension of Use Permit 81-2,
staff recommends that the City Council grant a concurrent extension for
Tentative Tract Map No. 11370.
BACKGROUND
On February 2, 1981, the Planning Agency approved Use Permit 81-2 which
authorized the development of 208 condominiums. Also on that date, the City
Council approved Tentative Tract 11370 which subdivided this property.
DISCUSSION
In the attached correspondence, the developer states the reasons for the
requested six {6) month extension as: the building plans have been in
preparation longer than anticipated and due to the complexity of the parking
structure, it is necessary to delay construction until after the rainy season.
The project is scheduled to be submitted for Plan Check on December 18, 1981.

Re:
Time Extension Request For Tentative Map No. 11370
an'd~ Use P'ermit' NO.' 81'-'2
Dear Mr.. Brot~m-rkel:
Please accept this correspondence as The Robert P.. Warmington
Company's request for a six (6) month extension of the City Council
approvals for the abovementioned actions. This extensionrequest
has become necessary due to the fact that our' building plans,
currently on file with the City, were in preparation longer than
we had anticipated. And, due to the complexity of the parking
structure, it is necessary for us to. wait until after the rainy
season to begin construction.
We appreciate your consideration in this matter. Please
notify me of the date this request is scheduled to be heard by
the City Council.
Sincerely,
ROBERT H. ODLE
