HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 10 GEN'L MUNI ELEC 12-21-81 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16' 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 CONSENT CALENDAR NO. 10 12-21-81 P~SOLUTION NO. 81- 142 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFO~IA, C~?.?.ING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL M~NICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 13, 1982, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICE~S OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES WHEREAS, under the provisions of ~he laws relating to General Law Cities in the S~ate of California, a regular general municipal election shall be held on April 13, 1982, for the election of two (2) Members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four years. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETEPuMINE AND O~DER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of California' relating to General Law Cities within said S~ate, there shall be, and there is hereby called and ordered, held in the City of Tustin, California on Tuesday, April 13, 1982, a regular municipal election of the qualified electors of said City for the purpose of electing two (2) M-tubers of the City Council of said City for t/le full term of four years. SECTION 2. That ~he ballots to be used at said election shall be, both as to foe and matter contained therein, such as' may be required by law to be used thereat. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduc~ said election. SECTION 4. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven o'clock a.m. of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously from said t/me until eight o'clock p.m. of the same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14301 of the Elections Code of the State of California. SECTION 5. That in all par~iculars not recited in this Resolu- tion, said election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for hold- ing municipal elections in said City. SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of said election, in time, form and manner as required by law. SECTION 7.
