RESOLUTION NO. 81- 143
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO SAID CITY
~3.~TING TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO
BE HELD IN SAID CItY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 13, 1982.
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the City of
Tustin, California, on April 13, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in the co~rse of conduct of said election and in relation
thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and polling place infor-
mation to the registered voters of the City, and it will facilitate such
mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County of Orange will make avail-
able to said City the computer record of the names and addresses of all eli-
gible registered voters in order that labels may be printed for attaching to
self-mailer sample ballot pamphlets; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service shall be
paid by the City of Tustin;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFOR-
NIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 22003 of
the Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby
requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to permit the Registrar of
Voters to prepare and furnish to said City for use in conducting said elec-
tion the computer record of the names and addresses of all eligible regis-
tered voters in said City in order that the City may print labels to be
attached to self-mailer sample ballot pamphlets; and will also furnish to
the City printed indices of the voters to be used by the precinct board at
the polling place; and will make available to the City additional election
equipment and assistance according to State law.
SECTION 2. That said City shall reimburse said County for ser-
vices performed when the work is completed and upon presentation to the City
of a properly approved bill.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward
without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of Voters,
each a certified copy of this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California, on December 21, 1981.
