EL CAMINO I~EAL/MAIN ~.~k IMPRO%~T PRO]ECT (Informational Report)
Requests for proposals were solicited to six (6) civil engineer/landscape
ard~itect firms for the preparation of street improvement plans and specifications
for E1 Camino Real and Main Street within the Redevelopment Agency area.
Proposals were received frcm all six fizms and are presently in the process of
being reviewed and evaluated.
These proposals were received on Monday, November 30, 1981 and will requ. ire
additional time for staff's ~,~lete evaluation of ead~ submittal. This is a
c~,~lex project which affects a major portion of the Old Town area and staff feels
that the selection of the consultant is a critical phase of the project;
therefore, additional time will be required to evaluate the six proposals
resulting in a two week delay to the final selection by the Redevelopment Agency.
This item will be sdueduled for the December 21, 1981 meeting, so that the Agency
may select a ~_ogns_ ultant for said project at that tim~.
This two week delay will not affect the May/June, 1982 bid advertisement date as
previously outlined.
