It is rec~,.,~nded that the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of November 16,
1981, award the bid for street striping services to Orange County Striping Service
Inc. in the amount of $21,235.90, effective January 1, 1982.
BACKGRCU~D:
The City contracts each year for its street striping services, painting of various
legends and sand blasting for removal of existing street striping.
Items numbered 1 through 6 are measured quantity items with the remaining items being
of undetermined ~antities. This year the quantities have been updated for the first
time since '1977. Consequently, the annual cost has increased from last year's
contract a~ount of $18,526.00 due to both the larger quantities of striping and also
the inflationary increases. A~ a point of information the comparative quantities for
1980 and 1981 are recapped below:
