Maintenance Worker, Kenny Schultz Range: $t137 to $1524 Step D, $1316 to Step F, $1451 Maintenance Worker, Fred Luna Range: $1137 to $1524 Step B, $1194 to Step D, $1316 e ~dministrative Secretary, Donna Treat Range: $1333 to $1620 Step B, $1399 to Step D, $1543 DISCUSSlCN: The City Personnel Rules and Regulations prov'ide that upcn rec~mm~ndatin of a Department Head and approval of the City Manager the City Gouncil may authorize special salary adjustments. A special salary adjustment is made when an e~ployee's salary is increased tw~ steps in lieu of the normal one step at t_he time their performance evaluation is made. A special salary adjustment can be made where it is determined that an employee's performance has been outstanding or to correct any inequities that may exist. With regard to Messrs. Schu'ltz and Luna, 'the Maintenance Superintendent and Director of Public Works have indicated that their performance has been outstanding. In the case of both individuals, they possess and have applied on the job skills which are not normally required of a Maintenance Worker and have voluntarily performed tasks which require utilization .of those skills.' In addition, these individuals have demonstrated very positive attitudes toward their job supervisors and fellow employees. Over the past several months, Ms. Treat has assumed greater responsibility within the City Manager's office and will continue to do so as a result of the elimination of the;~]ministrative Aide position and due to the vacancy of the Administrative Assistant position. At this point, there is no plan to fill the vacant Ad~inistrative Assistant position.
