COUNCIL OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
HELD ON TUESDAY EVENING, SEPTEMBER
5, 1950, AT 7:50 P. M., AT THE
CITY HALL
COUNCOUNCILMEN PRESENT: Vincent L. Humeston, William H. Gray, J.
Roy Teter and Frank E. Bacon, Jr.
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: William I. Miller.
CITY ATTORNEY: C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., was present.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Humeston
at 7:50 P- M.
Minutes of the meeting of August. 21st were read and
approved.
RESUSITATOR On motion of Councilman Gray, seconded by Councilman
PURCHASED Teter and duly carried, it was ordered that the Re-
susitator be purchased from the E & J Manufacturing
Co., of Glendale, Calif., and the bill for same in
the amount of $651.48 be authorized and paid.
RESOLUTION NO. City Attorney Nisson presented Resolution No. 269
269 ADOPTED entitled "A Resolution of the City of Tustin Fixing
and Determining the Number of Cents on Each One Hun-
dred ($100.00) Dollars of the Assessed Valuation of
the Taxable Property Within the City of Tustin to be
Levied and Collected as a Revenue to Pay the General
Running Expenses of said City During the Fiscal Year
1950-51." On motion of Councilman Gray, seconded by
Councilman Bacon and unanimously carried, Resolution
No. 269 was adopted.
LIGHTING BILLS Councilman Gray presented bills from the Southern
PAID FOR SOFT- California Edison Company in the amount of $83.28,
BALL LEAGUE as presented to him by Mr. George Dearborn, for part
of the cost of lighting the playing field of the
Tustin Softball League during the past season and
which the Council had previously agreed to pay out
of the City' s Recseation Fund. On motion of Council-
man Teter, seconded by Councilman Bacon and carried,
these bills were ordered paid.
DISASTER Councilman Gray presented a set of Organization
COUNCIL Charts for the Disaster Council of the City of Tustin
ORGANIZATION which were distributed to the Council Members. The
CHARTS City Clerk was instructed to forward a copy to each
Chairman and Member as named on the Chart, also a
letter stating that at a future date a meeting will
be held at which time the entire program may be dis-
cussed by the members and their assistants.
Street Superintendent McMullen presented a bid from
the Sully-Miller Contracting Co,, of Orange, offer-
ing to supply Plant Mix F. O. B. to Tustin for the
balance of the year 1950 at $2.91 per ton. On motion
of Councilman Teter, seconded by Councilman Bacon
and carried, this bid was accepted for the remainder
of the year for purchases not to exceed $1,000.
Councilman Bacon requested permission from the Coun-
cil for two weeks leave of absence during the latter
part of September for the purpose of vacationing out-
side of the State. Permission was granted on motion
of Councilman Teter, seconded by Councilman Gray and
carried

dered paid on motion of Councilman Tot,r, seconded
by Councilman Gray and duly carried.

Councilman Gray moved to adjourn. Councilman Teter
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
