'81-'82 STREET MAINTENANCE PRDGRAM ~TION: It is rec~,u;~nded that the City Council, at their meeting of Sept. 21, 1981, award the co~tract for subject project to R.J. Noble Co. of Orange, CA. and authorize staff to add approximately $50,000.00 in additional maintenance locations to the project to utilize all of the $210,000.00 in funds allocated for this work. Subject project consists of heater scarification, application of pavement rejuvenating agent and construction of an asphalt concrete overlay on streets included in the previously established 5-year maintenance program. Bids for subject project were opened on Sept..11, 1981 at 9:00 AM and were received as follows: CONTRAC~R R.J. Noble Co. Ail American Asphalt Sully-Miller Contracting Co. Vernon Paving Co. There is presently $210,000.00 allocated for this work. Attad~ed for the City Council's information is a tabulation of all bids received. ANALYSIS: The specifications for the project were set up to permit the City to increase the scope of the project in the event the low bid came in below the allocated funds. It is proposed that additional streets which were sd~eduled for work in F.Y. '82-'83 and '83-'84, in the five year street mintenance program, be moved ahead to this year's program to take advantage of the extremely good bid prices received. ~ OF BID F.Y.
