It is further reco~tended that the Council review the necessity of the co~uuittees/boards that are designated by an * on the attached list. These particular co~m,ittees/boards have been inactive for some time and their usefulness as a body may be suspect. BACKGROUND: It was Council's suggestion that some sort of reporting system be implemented for all those appointed representatives of the City to various co~muittees. This reporting system is designed to keep the Council well informed about the activities of these groups. DISCUSSION: The attached letter and reporting form have been designed to meet the needs of the Council to receive pertinent information from it's citizen representatives. The reporting forms will be mailed to the co~uuittee members on a quarterly basis, will be completed and returned to Council, for any further action necessary. Attached is a list of the current representatives, as far as we have been able to determine. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no cost, other than postage, associated with this system.
