BACKGROUND
In several previous actions by the Agency and City Council,
approval for the conversion of the apartment complex known as
Tusttn Arms II has been granted. The applicant is requesting that
an extension for this project be permitted.
DISCUSSION
Richard Snyder, Vice President of Acacia Construction, Inc. has
cited the present economic situation as the prime reason for
requesting the subject extensions. Staff feels that the
applicant's request has merit and should be granted. Such an
extension would in no way adversely affect the present tenants of
the Tustin Arms II complex.

Re:
Extension of Tentative
Map No. 10875
Extension of Use Permit No. 80-10
Members of City Council:
We are requesting an extension of Tentative Map No. 10875 from
October 6, 1981, to October 6, 1982, and an extension of the Use Permit
No. 80-10 until the same date.
The reason for this extension is because of the way the economic
factor has hit the construction and real estate market. Sales on real
estate are very slow to poor, and at this time we do not feel that it
would be in our best interests to continue with the conversion.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
