M.O.- That Ordinance No. 856 be passed and adopted. 1 2 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 £8 ORDINANCE NO. 856 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE RELATIVE TO USES PEP~IITTED IN PUBLIC PARKS AND PLACES. The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does hereby ordains that the Tustin City Code be amended as follows hereinafter: 1. Section 6310, is hereby amended to read as follows: 6310. DRINKING IN PUBLIC It shall be unlawful for any person to drink any alcoholic beverage on any street, alley, highway, court, park, railway depot, city center, city-owned property, public place or square or in any automobile in any public place in the City, provided, however, that alcoholic beverages may be sold, possessed and/or consumed in accordance with written permits issued for special events by the Director of Community Services pursuant to established procedures and policies of the Community Services Department and upon approval of the City Manager and Chief of Police. 2. Section 7112 is hereby amended to read as follows: 7112. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES IN PARKS The following activities, sports and uses are hereby prohibited at any park or-playground: (a) Sale, possession or use of fireworks. (b) Sale, possession or use of narcotics. (c) Sale, possession or use of alcoholic beverages except upon written permit duly issued by the Director of Community Services as provided in Section 6310. (d) Gambling. (e) Sale, possession or use of firearms or weapons of any kind, including, but not limited to, air rifles, slings, knives or clubs. (f) Littering, defacing or damaging of property. Sections 6311 and 6312 are hereby repealed. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin held on the day of August, 1981.
