STORM DRAIN FACILITY NO. F07P13 AND SIP 14 (FILE #1263) Subject project encompases construction of a storm drain on Irvine Blvd. from 1200' east of Prospect to 250' east of Holt Avenue. This is a master planned drain that must be constructed prior to the reconstruction and resurfacing of Irvine Blvd. between Prospect and Newport, which is proposed as an FAU project. There is presently $208,000.00 in RDA funds budgeted for t_his project. Engineer's estimate for this work is $207,000.00. F07P13 AND SIP 14 5 WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of 8 Tustin, California to construct storm drain improvements on Irvine Boulevard frcm 1200' east of Prospect Ave. to 250' east of Holt Ave., and; ? WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented plans and specifications for 8 the construction of said work; 9 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~u that the plans and specifications presented by the City Engineer be and are hereby approved as the plans and 10 specifications for: 11 IRVINE BOULEVARD SI13RM DRAIN FACILITY NO. Plans and specifications will only be mailed out upon payment of $15.00 per set, which amount shall be non-refundable. In conformance with Section 37931 of the Gove~,~nt Code, all bids shall presented under sealed cover on the proposal form provided and acc~-~anied one of the following forms of bidder's security: a. Cash b. Cashier's check made payable to the Tustin C~,.,unity Redevelopment Agency . ¢. Certified check ma_de payable to the Tustin C~,.,~nity Redevelopment Agency . d. Bidder's bond executed by an accredited surety insurer, made payable to the Tustin Cu,~lnity R~=development Agency . The security shal~ be in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. A bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of bidder's security is enclosed therewith. A Security Bond for payment of labor and materials will be required in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the estimated total contract price and a Faithful Performance Bond in the ~ount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated total contract price in the form attached to the contract documents. Said bonds shall be issued by a Surety Company rated grade A or better and Class IX or better by the latest edition of Best's Key Rating Guide. The Tustin Cu,...~nity Redevelopment Agency reserves the right to reject 22 any or all bids, and/or waive any informality on a bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the 23 opening thereof. The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder. 24 25 26 Provisions of the State Contract Act are not applicable, and prospective bidders will not be required to be prequalified. Ail work to be done under the direct supervision of the City Engineer, 27 City of Tustin. 28 All work to be paid for at the unit prices bid from appropriated monies. Not less than said prevailing rates shall be paid to workers ~,ployed on this public works contract as required by Labor Code Sections 1771 and 1774 of the State of California.
