CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 p.m.

At this time members of the public may address the Commission regarding any items not on the
agenda and within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission (NO action can be taken on off-
agenda items unless authorized by law). If you wish to address the Commission on any matter,
please fill out one of the forms located at the speaker's podium so that your remarks within the
recording of the meeting can be attributed to you. Completion of this form is not mandatory, but
accurately provides your information for the record.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by one
motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items prior to the time of the voting on the
motion unless members of the Commission, staff, or public request specific items to be discussed
and/or removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action.
1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES—AUGUST 23, 2016
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Planning Commission approves the Minutes of the August 23, 2016 Planning
Commission meeting as provided.
Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Planning Commission regarding any item on this
agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Community Development Department located at
300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California, during normal business hours.

2. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CUP) 2016-08 TO ESTABLISH A KARAOKE MUSIC
STUDIO AT 14561 & 14571 RED HILL AVENUE

ENVIRONMENTAL:
This project is categorically exempt pursuant to the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) Section 15301, Class 1 pertaining to existing facilities.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Planning Commission adopt Resolution No. 4319 approving CUP 2016-08
to establish a karaoke music studio in an existing 5,000 square foot tenant space
located at 14561 & 14571 Red Hill Avenue.

REGULAR BUSINESS:
3. WORKSHOP— HISTORIC PRESERVATION
The purpose of this workshop is to highlight the City's programs to protect and
revitalize historic structures, sites, and features within Tustin and to provide the
Commission with an update on the status of the City's historic preservation programs
and the Commission's efforts to date. Many of these programs were implemented in
conjunction with the City's recognition as a Certified Local Government in Historic
Preservation.
