SUBJECT: RBQUEST FOR PARKING PRO~iIBI~ON ON ~T.T.IANCE AVENUE
Staff has received two additional requests (copies attached) frc~ the managers of the
apartment u~L~lexes at 16601 and 16631 Alliance Avenue to restrict on-street parking
along the frontage of their apartment c~,,plexes during the hours of street sweeping.
On June 1, 1981, Council approved a similar request at 16561 Alliance Avenue at the
owner's request. This area and others within the City have ~cn working
satisfactorily with the same type of prohibition.
The requested areas would consist of 280 lineal feet of curb and as shown in red on
the attaohed sketch.
The suggested signing for this area would read as follows:
NO PARKING
6:00 AM TO NOON
STREET SWEEPING
~TION:
That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of July 6, 1981, authorize the
installation of the above mentioned signing on the northerly side of Alliance Avenue.
It is also rec~,,,~nded that warnings be issued in lieu of citations for the first 30
days after the sign installation.
