RESOLUTION NO. 81-76 1 4 5 6 ? 8 9 10 11 lZ 15 16 A RESOLUTION OF ~ CITY COUNCIL OF ~ME CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, CC~MENDING GENE SNYDER FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE WHEREAS, for more than a decade G~E SNYDER, Public Services Assistant, has served as the eyes and ears of the City of Tustin, providing info,nation and assistance to the public, responding to citizens' c~31mints, and enforcing the ordinances and policies of the City Council in the mminte- nance of private property, and WHEREAS, the first tin~ visitor to the City of Tustin is irm~di- atly impressed by the absence of litter, absence of illegal sign clutter, absence of %~c~s and trash, and a high degree of property maintenance - all of which are due to Mr. Snyder's vigilance, and WHEREAS, Gene Snyder has maintained an accurate inventory of all d~lling units, c~uercial estahlishmants, industrial facilities, and pro- fessional offices during his tenure with the City, and WHEIREAS, through his knowledge of the City and its developments, Gene was sucoessful in challenging erroneous data that was compiled by the U. S. Census Bureau, thereby receiving credit for 2,372 inhabitants that had bcc~n deleted from the City's 1980 population count, and WHEREAS, Gene Snyder, on a single occasion, was responsible for an increase in City revenues that ex~ his total cc~pensation during his years of service to the City, and WHEREAS, he continues to monitor the City's development and growth activities to provide an accurate and reliable profile of the c~L,~nity for its guidance, direction, and financial stability, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City 17i of Tustin hereby recognizes, c~,,~nds and extends its appreciation to G~NE SNYDER, Public Services Assistant, for his outstanding devotion and service 18 to the c~,L~onity. 19 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, on June 15, 1981. 21 MAYOR CITY f~ .V.
