White, Director of Community Services SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING COMMUNITY SERVICES VAN EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: At its May 18 meeting, Council authorized staff to solicit bids for a van, and asked for a report giving more detail regarding the way the van is to be used. This report is for information only; staff is moving forward on the bid process at present. POTENTIAL USES FOR COMMUNITY SERVICES VAN: Trips of Special Interest A. Target Groups 1. Senior Citizens 2. Pool Vehicle for Other Departments As Available Council requested some sort of quantification of the van's usage. It will be utilized in some capacity on a daily basis; however the hours per trip will depend upon type of usage. The projected service index is 5,000 participant hours per year. RAW:ss
