HomeMy WebLinkAboutHIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY 06-15-81DATE: TO: FROM: SUBJECT: JUNE 9, 1981 Inter -Corn CHARLES THAYER, INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER NOTICE OF INTENTION TO RELINQUISH HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY Pursuant to a freeway agreement dated September 22, 1958 between the County of Orange and the State of California, Caltrans is commencing the relinquishment proceedings for the roadway known as Tustin Village Way between McFadden Avenue and the McFadden Avenue southbound on-off ramps. The original freeway agreement in 1958 was with the County of Orange, but since that time, through Annexation No. 15 in 1960~ the subject road is now under the jurisdiction of the City. The fiscal impacts pertaining to this relinquishment of highway are as follows: 1. On-going roadway maintenance. 2. Monthly traffic signal maintenance and energy charges for 50% of the intersection at McFadden Avenue and Tustin Village Way. There is no required action by the City Council on this item. This action is automatic to the previous commitments within the original freeway agreement and the subsequent annexation of the subject area by the City.
