NOTICE OF INTENTION TO RELINQUISH HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY
Pursuant to a freeway agreement dated September 22, 1958 between
the County of Orange and the State of California, Caltrans is
commencing the relinquishment proceedings for the roadway known
as Tustin Village Way between McFadden Avenue and the McFadden
Avenue southbound on-off ramps. The original freeway agreement
in 1958 was with the County of Orange, but since that time,
through Annexation No. 15 in 1960~ the subject road is now under
the jurisdiction of the City.
The fiscal impacts pertaining to this relinquishment of highway
are as follows:
1. On-going roadway maintenance.
2. Monthly traffic signal maintenance and energy charges for
50% of the intersection at McFadden Avenue and Tustin
Village Way.
There is no required action by the City Council on this item.
This action is automatic to the previous commitments within the
original freeway agreement and the subsequent annexation of the
subject area by the City. The relinquishment will become
effective approximately 90 days after the May 26, 1981 date
affixed to the Caltrans letter.
