Revised Development Standards - parking Areas
At their Ma~ 18, 1981 meeting the City Council requested that the
developmentistandards be modified to allow for less plant material
in the parki!ng area designs. In response to this request, staff
has modified the standards for parking areas for the Planning
Agency's and City Council's consideration. The following changes to
the Design Notes are recommended to Exhibits 1, 2, and 3:
Exhibit 1: Notes 20 and 21 are added
Exhibit 2&3: Note 3 is changed and Notes 20 and 21 are added
Briefly, these modifications will remove the current requirement
for continuous planters in parking lot islands. They recommend the
use of continuous concrete islands with treewells and the use of
continuous walks adjacent to building fronts.
RECOMMENDED~ACTION
Recommend approval of the modifications to the City Council.
