OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL
OF TUSTIN, MONDAY EVENING, NOV. 15th
AT 7:30
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN; Charleton, Miller and Bacon
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN; Humiston and Forney
The minutes of the meeting of Nov. 1st, 1948,
were adopted' with slight alterations -
Fire Chief, Jerome C. Kidd, gave the Council
a report on experiences he has had with the
Fire Department fighting fires outside of the
City, and mentioned his trouble in having proper
connections for the fire plugs, other than
our standard plug. Councilman Bacon moved
to instruct the Chief to secure proper equip-
ment for his department in such cases.
Second to the motion was made by Councilman
Miller. Motion carried.
A discussion by the Council of the respon-
sibility of securing re-imbursement for calls
into the County area on fires was had, and
the Mayor stated that he would put in a claim
for reimbursement for such,
Fire Chief, Jerome Kidd, reported that he would
like to check the roof of the Fire Department
for repairs before the rainy season sets in.
He was instructed to get estimates and refer
the bills to the Councilmen Bacon and Forney
to be O.K'd and the work to be done.
Councilman Bacon moved to increase the pay
of Officers States and Copeland and Spicer
in the Street Department, ten per-cent
retroactive to Nov. 1st. Councilman Miller
seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Councilmen Miller moved that Councilman
Vincent L. Humiston be appointed the alter-
nate for the Mayor of the City of Tustin, on
the Governing Board of the County Sanitation
District No. 7, of Orange County, and as
alternate to act for the Mayor of the City
of Tustin when the Mayor is absent, or is
unable to act as such member of the Govern-
ing Board. Councilman Bacon seconded the
motion and it was duly passed.
Councilman Bacon moved to pay the following bills.
