At the last General Municipal Election for the City of Tustin,
pay Voting Board Members of the various precincts the following:

Clerks - $40.00
In reviewing the California Elections Code, Section 1653

..... The inspector may receive up to five dollars ($5) more compensation
than the other members of the precinct board. The additional compensation
to the inspector is for services rendered in securing precinct board members
and other duties which may be directed by the clerk.
In light of this section of the Elections Code, our compensation should be either $45
for Inspector and $40 for Judges and Clerks or $50 for Inspector and $45 for Judges
and Clerks.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adoption of Resolution No. 81-51, which establishes Voting Board Members and Compensa-
tion and set the compensation at $45 for Inspector and $40 for Judge and Clerks.
