PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: CHARLETON, BACON, AND MILLER
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: HUMESTON AND FORNEY

CITY ENGINEER MCBRIDE.

THE MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING WERE HEAD AND APPROVED
ON THE ORDER OF THE MAYOR.
DEPUTY ASSESSOR THE FIRST MATTER OF BUSINESS BEFORE THE COUNCIL WAS THE
APPOINTED APPOINTMENT OF IDUS H. HARPER A8 DEPUTY ASSESSOR AT $5.00
PER MONTH AS OF THE FIRST OF JULY. COUNCILMAN BACON
MOVED THaT THE CITY ATTORNEY DRAW UP A RESOLUTION TO MAKE
IDU8 H. HARPER DEPUTY ASSESSOR. COUNCILMAN MILLER SECOND
THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.
STREET A CUT WAS INVESTIGATED FOR A TYPE OF STREET 8WEEPER THAT
SWEEPER M~T WITH FAVBR BY THE COUNCIL AND THE MAYOR APPOINTED
STREET COMMISSIONER HUMES~TON AND HIS DEPUTY, COUNCILMAN
MILLER TO INVESTIGATE AND REPORT BACK.
STREET WORK ON THE MOTION OF COUNCILMAN MILLER AND SECOND BY COUNCIL-
MAN BACON THE WORK ORDER SIGNED BY ENGINEER MCBRIDE FOR
THE WORK TO BE DONE ON SECOND STREET BETWEEN MYRTLE AND
PASADENA'AT THE ESTIMATE COST OF $493.28 BE APPROVED.
MOTION CARRIED.
PROJECT 13 ENGINEER MUBRIDE REPORTED THAT SPECIFICATION PROJECT
13, SECOND STREET FROMPACIFIC TO B STREET WAS ESTIMATED
AT $231-94.' COUNCILMAN MILLER MOVED PLANS, PROFILE,
AND SPECIFICATION ON SECOND STREET B APPROVED. COUNCIL_

PROJECT 14 PROJECT ~14, THIRD STREET FROM PACIFIC TO C STREET,
WITH AN ESTIMATEE COST OF $2881.18 WAS SUBMITTED BY
THE EINGINEER AND COUNCILMAN BACON MOVED TO APPROVE THIS
ESTIMATE. COUNCILMAN MILLER SECOND THE MOTION.

CALIFORNIA ENGINEER MCBRIDE ESTIMATED THE COST OF REPAIRS ON CALIF_
ST. REPAIR ORNIA STREET TO BE FROM $350.00 TO $400.00.
PIPE LINE COUNCILMAN BACON MOVED TO HAVE ENGINEER MCBRIDE CONTACT
OWNERS SHAREHOLDERS ON PIPE LINE RECEIVING WATER FROM GATE 32
TO~MAKE NECESSARY REPAIRS FOR STREET WORK TO BE DONE.
COUNCILMAN MILLER SECOND THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.
LETTER BOXES MRS. CAROLIN OAMPBELL, POSTMASTER, WAS BEFORE THE COUNCIL
FOR THEIR APPROVAL OF THE PLACING IOF LETTER BOXES WITHIN
THE OITY. SHE WAS REFERRED TO STREET COMMISSIONER
HUMESTON, WHO WOULD REPRESENT.THE CITY AND COOPERATE
WITH HER.
RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ~215 WAS ADOPTED ON THE MOTION OF OOrrNCILMAN
#215 ADOPTED MILLER APPOINTING OHAS. E. MORRIS AS THE PROPER
AUTHORITY TO SEND IN THE ANNUAL REPORT TO THE STATE
CONTROLLER. COUNCILMAN BACON SECOND THE MOTION. MOTION
CARRIED.
BONDS MAYOR CHARLETON APPOINTED COUNCILMAN HU~ESTON AND COUNCIL-
MAN MILLER TO INVESTIGATE THE TYPE OF VONDS FOR THE INVEST-
MENT IN THE PROBABLE AMOUNT OF $7,000.00, FOR THE~OITY.
HUMESTON COUNCILMAN BACON MOVED THAT COUNCILMAN HUESTON BE APPOINTED
SANITATION ALTERNATE TO THE MAYOR ON THE COUNTY WIDE SANITATION
OOMMITTEE DISTRICT COMMITTEE REPRESENTING THE CITY AND TO NOTIFYBY
LETTER, CHARLES A. SWEET, OF THE APPOINTMENT.
POLICE CAR POLICE CHIEF MCMULLEN STATED THAT IN THE EXOHANGE OF THE
PRICE POLIOE CAR $1350.00 WOULD BE ALLOWED ON THE NEW CAB AT A
COST OF $1900.00
