HomeMy WebLinkAboutNB 9 PURCHASE P.U.'S 03-16-81DATE: MARCH 16, 1981 In er-Com TO: FROM: SUBJECT: DAN BLANKENSHIP, CITY ADMINISTRATOR BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER AWARD OF BID At their meeting of February 17, 1981, the City Council authorized the solicitation of bids for the purchase of three pick-up trucks for the Tustin Water Service. These bids were received as follows: SANTA AHA FORD, SANTA AHA 2-1/2 Ton Pick-up Trucks - $13,629.02 1-3/4 Ton Pick-up Truck - 7,694.71 $21,323.73 Tax 1,279.42 $22,603.15 GUARANTY CHEVROLET, SANTA AHA 2-1/2 Ton Pick-up Trucks - $13,931.90 1-3/4 Ton Pick-up Truck - 7,753.36 $21,685.26 Tax 1,301.12 $22,986.38 The original staff estimate for these trucks was $21,200.00 for a $1403.15 overrun. Both bids have met all requested specs and are for 1981 models. Recommendation: That the Tustin City Council award the bid for three (3) pick-up trucks in the amount of $22,603.15 to the firm of Santa Ana Ford of Santa Aha.
