EAST ORANGE COUNTY WATER DISTICT (E.O.C.W.D.) FEES
At a previous meeting, the City Council requested an explanation of the fees that are
imposed by the E.O.C.W.D. to developers/builders within the district.
These fees have been set at $500.00 per each new residential unit and a calculated
fee based upon acreage and meter size for each commercial or industrial development.
It is the responsibility of each water retailer within the district to administrate
the collection of these fees for the district.
The purpose of these fees is to retire the $6,000,000.00 bond obligation that was
approved by the voters in 1978. These fees are used only for the payoff of principal
and interest on the bonds. The following are projects financed by the bond funds
that directly benefit the Tustin Water Service:
1. 20" diameter transmission line along Fairhaven Ave. and Foothill Blvd. which
improved pressures and available volumes in the northern part of the service
area.
The Diemer Intertie which will provide the system with an adittonal 13 cu.
ft. per sec. of water.
Two new reservoirs in the Foothill area to provide additional storage at
proper pressure zones for the system.
This has been a brief recap of the E.O.C.W.D. fees,
information is required.
