The offer is $10,000 but contains a conmitment to provide a concrete basketball court and permit joint use of the parking. The appraisal by the City was for $67,500 although it appears high and is based upon limited use of the land being acceptable. She sale of land to Foster would permit a better design on the development whidn had loading areas not requiring manuevering in the public street. The decision is up to the Council. It may find the price acceptable with the other benefits to the City and Boys Club, or it may rejec% the offer ar~ hold on to the land for some potential future use. The ~unt offered is disappointing but the lan~ has only limited use. AC~£ION BEFORE COUNCIL: Accept or reject offer. If &ccepted, the City Attorney should meet with the Boys Club and Mr. Foster to cbcument the specific commitn~nts. I will pay $10,000.00 to the City of Tustin for the strip. The other consideration, I see, they have a set-back of 9 feet on the 6th street building plan. That is 9 feet farther back than my other buildings. I can desigaa a much better front if the new building is even with the present building. You have no doubt noticed that on the other side of 6th street they do not have side walks. If the above does not meet with your boards approval please let me know and I will continue with the new plan the city now has with the parking in front on 6th street. Sincerely~ ~.,9~-~'~
