Honorable Mayor and City Council
Roy Gonzales, Personnel Director
Resolution approving destruction of certain personnel records
The attached resolution is designed to allow for destruction of Personnel
Recruitment materials, specifically applications and testing materials,
for recruitments which have been closed for over two years. This is part
of this departments continuing records management program and will help
reduce the departments storage space needs.
In destroying these records, Personnel will maintain a statistical summary,
all relevant correspondence and copies of tests and selection materials for
each recruitment for future reference. Overall storage needs for the material
to be maintained will be about 5% of the space presently occupied by these
materials.
