COUNCIL ARTICLES IN "TUSTIN ~ODAY" PUBLICATION
Attached is an inquiry from the Director of Community Services regarding the
traditional articles on Council n~mbers which appear in the City's "Tustin Today".
I believe one or more Council members should appear in each issue with equal exposure
over the years. Perhaps they could appear in a picture related to other articles
rather than specific stories about them, except when elected, reelected, or appointed
Mayor. I believe a photograph of the full Council reduces the visibility and effect,
and would beoon~_ jaded unless frequently changed and reshot.
Your preference will be appreciated.

COVER PHOTOS AND STORIES: TUSTIN TODAY
For the past several years, Councilmembers have been spotlighted (on a
rotating basis) on the cover of Tustin Today. Since three of the Council
were featured on the 1980 Summer brochure, staff desires direction regarding
who is "up" next on the rotation.
In addition, staff would like to know whether or not Council wishes to
continue current practice. An alternative might be to have photos of the
entire Council in each issue of Tustin Today, with individual Council
members featured only upon election or re-election.

ALTERNATIVES:
1. Indicat~ desired rotation to continue current practice.
2. Include photos of entire Council in each issue, and do a feature story
only upon a Council member's election or re-election.
