MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN,
MONDAY EVENING AT 7:00 O'CLOOK AUGUST 11, 1947
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, CHARLETON, HUMESTON, FORNEY,
AND BACON.
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE
CITY ATTORNEY C. ARTHUR NISSON, JR. WAS PRESENT
ALSO CITY ENGINEER J.L. MCBRIDE.
CORRESPONDENCE THE BONEY COMPANY OF ANAHEIM, AGENTS FOR THE
DODGE TRUCK QUOTING PRICES FOR THE DELIVERY
OF THE CHASSIS OF A DODGE TRUCK AND ALSO FROM
GEORGE DUNTON, AGENT FOR THE FORD CAR, WITH QUO-
TATIONS ON THE DELIVERY OF A FORD. AFTER DULY
CONSIDERING THE TWO TRUCKS COUNCILMAN HUMESTON
MOVED'TO PURCHASE THE DODGE TRUCE. COUNCILMAN
FORNEY SECOND THE MOTION. IT PASSED WITH ~ALL
VOTING AYE. IT WAS AGREND THAT COUNCILMAN
CHARLETON AND MAYOR KIDD WEE TO CONTACT BONEY
WITH REFERENCE TO DELIVERY" THIS MONTH.
RESOLUTION J.L. MCBRIDE, CONSULTING ENGINEER, WAS BEFORE
#195 THE COUNCIL WITH REGARD TO THE 1/4 CENT GASOLINE
TAX FOR STREETS OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE OTHER THAN
HIGHWAYS AND WITH THE AGREEMENT ON THE GASOLINE
WAS A RESOLUTION # 195, ADOPTING BUDGET AND
APPROVING MEMORANDUM AGREEMENT FOR STREETS OF
MAJOR IMPORTANCE OTHER THAN THE HIGHWAY AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN THE
AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY. COUNCILMAN
CHARLETON MOVED FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE RESOLUTION.
COUNCILMAN BACON SECOND THE MOTION. RESULT OF~
THE ROLL CALL ALL VOTED AYE. MOTION CARRIED.
IMPROVEMENT COUNCILMAN HUMESTON MOVED THAT PLANS AND SPECI-
OF "A" ST. FICATION FOR IMPROVEMENT OF "A" STREET, FROM 1ST
TO MAIN BE APPROVED AND ENGINEER MCBRIDE AUTHOR-
I ZED TO SUBMIT THE SAME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC WORKS FOR APPROVAL. COUNCILMAN CHARLETON
SECOND THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.
LAWN MOWER MAYOR KIDD WAS AUTHORIZED TO BUY A LAWN MOWER FOR
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
BILLS COUNCILMAN CHARLETON MOVED TO PAY THE FOLLOWING
BILLS. COUNCILMAN FORNEY SECONDED THE MOTION.
MOTION CARRIED. CHAS. MORRIS $22.95 UTILITIES $28.96
