If you wish to address the Commission on any matter, please fill out one of the forms located at the speaker's podium so that your remarks within the recording of the meeting can be attributed to you. Completion of this form is not mandatory, but accurately provides your information for the record. CONSENT CALENDAR: All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items prior to the time of the voting on the motion unless members of the Commission, staff, or public request specific items to be discussed and/or removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action. 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES— OCTOBER 25, 2016 RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission approves the Minutes of the October 25, 2016 Planning Commission meeting as provided. 2. CDBG CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN AMENDMENT RECOMMENDATION: That the Chairperson of the Planning Commission be designated to serve as the Planning Commission's representative on the Citizen Participation Committee, or, appoint a designee to serve on his behalf. Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Planning Commission regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Community Development Department located at 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California, during normal business hours. VARIANCE (VAR) 2016-02 & DESIGN REVIEW (DR) 2016-023 APPLICANT/ John Stephens PROPERTY OWNER: 10905 Silverado Terrace Tustin, CA 92782 LOCATION: 10905 Silverado Terrace ENVIRONMENTAL: This project is categorically exempt pursuant to Sections 15303 (Class 3) and 15305 (Class 5) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). REQUEST: To construct a 609 square foot garage within the front yard setback and 220 square foot residential addition within the rear yard setback. RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission adopt Resolution No. 4332 approving VAR 2016-02 and DR 2016-023 to authorize construction of a 609 square foot garage within the front yard setback and 220 square foot residential addition within the rear yard setback at an existing residential property located at 10905 Silverado Terrace.
