Reid, Building Official Appeals Form As a condition of approval of Ordinance No. 835 the attached form was pre- pared. It will be available commencing December 17, 1980, at the counter for anyone to use. The effective date of Ordinance No.835 is December 17, 1980. The format and wording of the appeal is as required by both the Uniform Hous- ing Code and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings. ~/George F. Reid Building Official cc: Mike Brotemarkle BOARD OF APPEALS PREAMBLE The City of Tustin enacts ordinances and adopts various codes and the Federal government and the State of California enact laws, adopts codes and issues regulations requiring enforcement by the Building Official. These codes and regulations have the force and effect of law and are binding on all persons, firms, corporations, owners, builders, tenants, designers, and the Building Official. They regulate the site .preparation and construction, installation, enlargement, improvements, removals, conversions, remodels, erections, alterations, moving, demolitions, repairs, replacements, maintenance, use and occupancy of buildings and structures and the building service equipment within the city of Tustin. Your City Council has appointed individuals, who are qualified by experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction and building service equipment, to the City of Tustin, Board of Appeals. The Board of Appeals is to provide for reaonable interpretations of the various codes. The Board of Appeals conducts public hearings, after public notice is duly published in the Tustin News when and as appeals are received.
