HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1947 06 16 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY, EVENING AT 7:00 O'CLOCK, JUNE 16, 1947 PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMAN: KIDD, CHARLETON, HUMESTON, BACON, AND FORNEY. ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMAN: NONE CITY ATTORNEY C. ARTHUR NISSON JR. WAS PRESENT. THE MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING WERE READ AND APPROVED BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR. COUNCILMAN COUNCILMAN HUMESTON GAVE THE COUNCILMEN A SHORT HUMESTON REPORT ON SANITARY REPORT ON THE PROGRESS OF THE SANITARY DISTRICTS PROGRESS WHICH MEETING HE ATTENDED AT HUNTINGTON BEACH. HE STATED THAT A FULL REPORT OF THE SURVEY WOULD BE DELIVERED TO THE COUNTY SUPERVISORS TUESDAY JULY 1, 1947. DWIGHT KENYON DWIGHT T. KENYON, OF 3RD. AND PACIFIC MADE A REQUEST REQUEST SELLING SOME PROPERYT FOR HIS MOTHER FOR THE SELLING OF A 50 FOOT STRIP OFF HER TWO LOTS AT THE SOUTH EAST CORNER OF THIRD AND PACIFIC, TO BE FACED ON PACIFIC STREET, TO A PARTY WHO WISHES TO LIVE IN A TRAILER HOUSE FOR THE PRESENT, AT LEAST, ON THE PROPERTY. HE WAS TOLD BY THE COUNCIL- MEN THAT THE CLASSIFICATION OF THIS DISTRICT ESTAB- LISHED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION WOULD NOT PERMIT THIS TO BE. CITY COUNCIL IT IS NOTED BY THE COUNCIL THAT NOTICE OF THE CITY TO SIT AS A BOARD OF COUNCIL TO SIT AS A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR THE EQUALIZATION ADJUSTMENT OF ANY COMPLAINT ON TAXES WITHIN THE CITY JUST BE PUBLISHED AND DESIGNATED AS BEING THE MONTH OF JULY BEGINNING ON THE SECOND DAY AND TO BE CONTIN- UOUS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH. RESOLUTION RESOLUTION # 194, CREATING AN ACCOUNT OF THE JUDGE'S #194 ACCOUNT FOR BAILS TO BE DEPOSITED WHERE THAT REFUNDS MAY BE MADE WAS ADOPTED ON THE MOVE OF COUNCILMAN HUMESTON. COUNCILMAN BACON SECONDED MOTION. ROLL CALL BEING FAVORABLE. ALL MEMBERS OF THE BOARD VOTING AYE. NONE TO THE CONTRARY. MOTION CARRIED. LEAVE GRANTED PERMISSION WAS ASKED BY COUNCILMAN BACON AND GRANTED COUNCILMAN BACON TO BE OUT OF THE STATE FOR THE NEXT MEETING NIGHT. COUNCILMAN CHARLETON MOVED TO PAY THE FOLLOWING BILLS UTILITIES $37.05 LOIS FOLKNER $54.75 JOHN SWIGART CO. $5.89 A.N. GRAIN M.D. $5.00 MONITOR PRODUCTS $6.72 THE TUSTIN NEWS $20.20 TUSTIN FIRE DEPARTMENT $47.00 CARSON & GOLDING $37.66 COUNCILMAN CHARLETON MOVED THAT THE MEETING ADJOURN.
