THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN,
MONDAY EVENING AT 7:00 O'CLOCK, JUNE 2, 1947.
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, FORNEY, HUMESTON AND BACON.
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: CHARLETON
CITY ATTORNEY, C. ARTHUR NISSON JR. WAS PRESENT.
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY THE MAYOR AND AFTER THE MINUTES
WERE READ BY THE CLERK HE ORDERED THAT THEY BE ADOPTED AS READ.
THERE WAS NO CORRESPONDENCE OTHER THAN A COPY OF A RESOLUTION PROPOS-
ING A SALES TAX FOR RAISING OF REVENUE APPROVED BY THE STATE LEAGUE
OF CITIES. THE RESOLUTION WAS MAILED TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN BY
THE CITY OF FORT BRAGG, CALIFORNIA , WHO HAD RECOMMENDED AND ADOPTED
THE SAME. BOTH THE BULLETIN AND THE RESOLUTION WAS LOOKED OVER
BY THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL BUT NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
A YOUNG MAN, BY THE NAME OF JOE BILL BALES, WHO DESIRES TO ESTABLISH
A TAXI SERVICE IN TUSTIN, WAS MAKING INQUIRY ABOUT THE MATTER AND
AFTER RECEIVING SOME INFORMATION STATED THAT HE WOULD TAKE IT UP
WITH US LATER.
RESOLUTION # 193, CREATING THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY CITY CLERK AND
NAMING C. ARTHUR NISSON JR. TO THE POST, WAS ADOPTED AND A ROLL
CALL SHOWED ALL VOTING FAVORABLE.
COUNCILMAN HUMESTON MOVED THAT THE FOLLOWING BILLS BE PAID. COUNCIL-
MAN BACON SECONDED MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.
