HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 10 PAC TELE ESMNT 12-01-80DATE: FROH: SUBJECT: November 24, CONSENT CALENDAR 1980 Inter-Cam DAN BLANKENSHIP, CITY ADMINISTRATOR BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER PACIFIC TELEPHONE COMPANY EASEMENT - CENTENNIAL PARK The Pacific Telephone Company has requested the City grant an easement 15 feet in width within Centennial Park for purposes of constructing, operating, maintaining, repairing or replacing underground telephone communication systems. This easement would extend through Centennial Park from Roanoke Avenue to Brookshire Avenue adjacent to and easterly of the sidewalk. This easement will allow for the expansion of service within the Tustin Meadows area. Due to the increased demand for additional telephone service within the area, it is necessary to install this additional cabling. The location within the park will eliminate need of excavating several streets within the community. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of December 1, 1980, authoirze the Mayor to execute said grant of easement within Centennial Park for said installation of underground telephone communication systems. County of. Orange . State of California: Parcels 1, 2 and 3, Parcel Map 13/3,4 as shown on map filed in Book 13 at Pages 13 and 14 of Parcel Maps, Records of Orange County, being a division of land of a Portion of Lots 51, 52, 61 and 62 in Block 11 of Irvine Subdivision, Recorded in Book 1, Page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California. The above described easement shall be a strip of land fifteen (15) feet wide the centerline of which is described as follows: Beginning at the most easterly corner of Parcel 1; thence North 49 ~8'44" West Seventy-Seven (77) feet to the true point of beginnlng; thence South 40°01'16'' West to the southwesterly line of said Parcel 1; said point hereinafter referred to as Point "A". Thence continuing into Parcel 3, on the same bearing South 40°01'16'' West to the southwesterly line of said Parcel 3 Page 1 of 2 pages to the Point of Termination; thence beginning again in said Parcel 1 at the hereinabove described Point "A"; thence North 40o01'16'' East, 118.50 feet to the True Point of beginning; thence South 49058'44'' East to the southeasterly line of said Parcel 1i thence continuing into'Parcel 2 on the same bearing South 49 58 44 East, 126 feet to the Point of Termination. Grant~ covenants for himself, his successors and assigns not to place or maintain any building or structure on said easement.
